Saviynt Launches Industry-First Identity Security Solution to Govern Autonomous AI Agents
Identity security leader Saviynt announced the launch of its "Identity Security for AI" solution today, marking a major shift in how enterprises manage the rapidly expanding world of autonomous AI agents.
The new platform aims to close a critical security gap that currently leaves 91% of organizations exposed to "blind risk" as they integrate machine-speed workflows into their core operations. As AI agents increasingly move beyond experimental phases to write code, execute financial transactions, and manage customer service, legacy security models designed for human users are struggling to keep pace. Saviynt’s new suite provides a dedicated control plane that treats AI agents with the same rigor as human identities, offering continuous visibility, lifecycle governance, and real-time authorization across major environments including Amazon Bedrock, Microsoft Copilot Studio, and Google Vertex AI.
"AI agents don't behave like users," noted Vibhuti Sinha, Chief Product Officer at Saviynt. "They act autonomously and make decisions in real-time. We’ve built a new control plane specifically for that velocity."
The solution is built on three core pillars: Identity Security Posture Management (ISPM) to eliminate "shadow AI," Identity Lifecycle Management to ensure every agent has a designated human owner, and an Agent Access Gateway to intercept unauthorized activity in real-time. By integrating external risk signals from partners like CrowdStrike and Zscaler, the platform provides security teams with a holistic view of their AI-related risk environment.
Industry leaders from Hertz and The Auto Club Group, who collaborated as design partners, praised the move as a necessary evolution for innovation. Gnana Thanikachalam, Global Head of IAM at Hertz, emphasized that treating AI agents with the same governance as human identities allows the company to "innovate with confidence" rather than just closing security gaps.
Saviynt CEO Sachin Nayyar described the release as the company's most significant to date. By combining posture management, privileged access, and real-time enforcement into a single service, Saviynt positions itself as the only identity security provider offering an end-to-end stack capable of operating at "AI speed."
